The Schmelzer group with its headquarter in Waldershof, in north Bavaria, currently has 235 employees , whom over 10% of them are trainees.

Founded in 1913 by Ambros Schmelzer as a thinsmith, the company is now run  by the fourth generation of the Schmelzer family.

Over the years, we have been able to strengthen and expand our fields of activity continually including the industrial field of piping and plant construction, agricultural technology with solutions for grain ventilation and storage as well as modular pipe systems, moulding technology, metal-roofing and also assembly production.

AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT

First started with a serial production of pipes for agricultural purposes the agricultural sector has been steadily developing and today our products for grain storage, cleaning technology and grain ventilation are used all over the world.

Particularly in the field of flat storage we offer solutions ranging from easy storage up to flexible storage systems such as our innovation telescopic ventilation pipes or dam wall silo. With our flat and silo storages in the field of storage technology and our ventilation spears, semicircular canals or underfloor ventilation and fans, you find a suitable solution  in our range.  

MODULAR PIPEWORK SYSTEMS

Our modular pipework system makes individual systems possible because all pipes and moulded parts are mutually compatible.The modular system makes it possible that existing pipe systems can be expanded as required. Our catalogue articles are generally in stock and can be quickly delivered at any time. Our portfolio includes both longitudinal and spiral welded pipes. Our pipe system impresses with our flanged edge, which makes it possible that pipe parts are precisely and closely fitting. 

PLANT ENGINEERING

In the sector of plant engineering custom-fit projects for chimneys, cyclones, furnace constructions as well as filters can be realized.

Besides the client-specific manufacturing we can also offer the design, construction as well as the final assembly. The project management tasks are carried out into our headquarter in Waldershof in close cooperation with our production site in Chodová Planá. This production site was founded 1992 as Schmelzer s.r.o. and has been modernized by a new building in Pipe diameters of 100 to 4000mm in a sheet thickness of 1 to 12mm can be produced there.

MOULDING TECHNOLOGY

Innovative tool technology installed in high-precision injection moulds are essential core competences of the Schmelzer moulding technology. These include mould assembly, light guide technology, chrome and accent strips, hybrid components as well as gas injection moulds. Together with specialized cooperation partners our complete product portfolio includes the entire development process beginning the from component development process up to the final injection mould product. 

ASSEMBLY PRODUCTION

In the sector of subassembly production Schmelzer is specialized on large dynamically balanced welded units for the automotive industry for example Pickup screws, intake screws and screw conveyors for agricultural harvesting machines like field choppers or combine-harvesters.

SCHMELZER TINSMITHING

We still stayed true to our roots as tinsmiths. In the meantime we have been focusing on metal-roofing. From demolition over disposal to fully insulated foil roof areas we provide our customers with one-stop services. Furthermore we can manufacture balconies, handrails, tin and copper roofs according to your wishes.
